Rising tensions in the Middle East, particularly surrounding Iran and the threat of long-range and asymmetric attacks, have placed Israel and the wider region at a moral and existential crossroads. Developments that once seemed distant or theoretical are now confronted as urgent realities, especially where the protection of civilian life is concerned.
In this context, advanced defensive technologies, once regarded as almost utopian dreams, are increasingly understood as necessary means of safeguarding life rather than instruments of domination. From a Noahide perspective, defense must never become an idol of power, but remain a responsibility rooted in the preservation of life. Technology itself cannot create peace, but it can create space for restraint, justice, and moral accountability.

Strength in one’s hart, as a divine protection
This present tension echoes an ancient and enduring pattern. In the story of Moses, Aaron, and Pharaoh, the Eternal One calls for liberation, justice, and a spiritual purpose, while Pharaoh’s heart is strengthened to persist in the path he has chosen. The narrative teaches that repeated rejection of truth and righteousness can lead to moral hardening.
Moses and Aaron speak nonetheless, not because it is strategic, but because they speak the truth commanded by the Eternal One. This reflects the heart of the Noahide path: obedience to the will of the Eternal One, even when outcomes are uncertain.
The Seven Noahide Commandments, as articulated in The Divine Code, remain a lasting moral compass for all humanity, calling for justice, truth, respect for life, and the rejection of all forms of idolatry, including the worship of power. The Noahide path is not a religion or a political program, but a way of life marked by simplicity, faithfulness, and moral clarity. Especially when hearts harden, humanity is called to remain steadfast in righteousness, with humility and reverence for the Eternal One.
